And the Brownie Invades...

See this outfit right here? I love it. Matter of fact I just ADMIRE the crap out of it. There’s something about Sir Paul McCartney’s demeanor in this picture. His body language shows a young Beatle who in the AM seemed energetic and vibrant but as the after noon arrived he’s ready to go home and sleep the night away.

I re-created this look after realizing that I already have the ingredients in my closet. The only thing I added was a neck tie and it made the outfit.

If there’s one thing I admire about McCartney…it’s that a long time ago on planet earth he was a trend setter and now he is simply known as a legend. Which again, isn’t a bad thing in my book…It’s a phenomenon.

I had a craving to eat Pho because I have really bad sinus’s and wanted something to clear them up other than curry so when I asked on twitter what is the best place to eat, my friend Lauren told me to go check out Mr. Pho. My Other friend Michael swore up and down that we went there to eat but I just can’t seem to remember…well a little bit. 

At Mr. Pho I ordered seafood pho along with bbq pork & let me tell you, it was one of the BEST things I have ever ate in my entire life! Not only did it clear up my sinus’s but it filled my tummy up like no other. I walked out of Mr. Pho feeling like the brown wonder woman.

Once again, thank you to my friends Michael and Lauren for letting me know about Mr. Pho because without them I wouldn’t even know where I could find the best Pho in town! I swear, friends are God’s way of taking care of us in small doses….we just never realize it. 

Why?

-We both love Glitter(Ziggy Stardust)

-He loves Brownies(Iman)

-He’s british but that’s okay. My parents speak British English so I’m born with it in my genes.

-He has the best eyes ever and reminds me of Kate Bosworth….He’s my Bette Davis.

-We’re doppelganger’s even though we look nothing a like. No one knows this. It’s my personal secret I thought to share it to the world.

I’m on my way to get a pack of makeup brushes instead of buying them solo. Wish me luck. 

My dear friend Jenn sent me a link of a yorkietello on a cover of Italia Vogue and I just flipped out in JOY. As you know, I have Yorkies. I love them. Their fur, yosemite sam stach, their petiteness and most of all just how they make me feel. Everyone falls in love with them and as soon as I see a Yorkietello I automatically feel that the owner is one big bad-ass. Yep, Yorkietello owners are bad-asses.

Supermodel Miranda Kerr has a yorkie named Frankie. It is known that during her VS gigs she would bring the lovely Frankie around. Well guess what? Frankie is now on the cover of Vogue Italia september Issue. The Issue came with a few other fashion gigs in Vogue-esque patterns but since it’s all in Italian I can’t understand a thing. Just looking through the pages of the magazine makes me want to jet to Roma and feel the Italian air surround me in a bliss of pure Love.

It’s been a couple of months since I’ve had this issue but never had enough time to post it so here I am posting it for all to see.

Now, what gal wouldn’t love this? It has a yorkietello and Kerr on the cover. Plus, she’s pregnant. If that’s not amazing, I’m not sure I don’t know what amazing is.

Look, I’m Indian. A bronze Indian that often gets mistaken for a Spanish woman or a mixed individual which doesn’t ever bother me because often I tell strangers “Let’s play the guessing game” when they flat out ask me “WHAT ARE YOU?” which always resorts to receiving absurd answers with great laughs. 

If there’s one thing I’m Conflicting about wearing it is a Turban. OH THE TURBAN. From Hepburn to Kelly to the current runways they’re EVERYHWERE but I just cannot seem to purchase one for myself…something…in…me…just…can’t. I believe it’s because I am Indian and even though the Turbans did originate from Egypt a lot of northern Indians do wear the turbans and today it is known as a middle eastern head scarf. I shouldn’t care, I really SHOULDN’T because I do wear braceletes. One day my fear of wearing Turbans will leave me and that one day…I shall wear a Turban.

Till then, I’m going to sit back and enjoy every other woman wear a Turban in a fashionable manner to the point where I will smirk. Why smirk? Well, why not?

On the 4th of November I turned the big 2-5. I’m 25 now and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for me in the next 25 years!

I had a great dinner celebration at Red Prime steak house with my close friends(one bestie couldn’t show up bc she was sick) and it was great to celebrate with loved ones.

My dress was designed by Tatyana Merenyuk who designed my birthday dress last year. I simply love her style, her communication with her customers and her talent. 

This year was the best birthday so far.

1. I got a Barbie Painting of myself. Debbie Curtis of Oklahoma City paints Barbie Paintings and is amazing at it. Her daughter is also a best friend of mine. So guess what I got for my birthday? Yep. A brown barbie painting…I absolutly love it!

2. My dress. Everyone loved it. I even had straight males stop me just to tell me “Your dress is simply beautiful!”

3. A birthday dinner at Red Prime Steak house. We rented a room and had my loved ones come and eat with me.

4. I returned home to see my dad tell me even though I’m 25, in his eyes I’m still a five year old girl. Yep, I am and always will be a Daddy’s Girl.
