Words cannot express the way I am feeling about the current tragedy in my home-state Oklahoma. I am thankful that my family, friends and I are safe.
I feel like my home state has turned into a war zone. Houses on fire(due to gas leaks), domestic animals roaming around, people running around being dazed and law enforcement doing everything they can to calm the people of Oklahoma & give them hope. Hope is the only thing we have left.
The theatre I often go to is now in shambles and I just feel so emotionally helpless.
Thank goodness we all can come together to help those in need & here are ways which you can.

I celebrated my birthday with friends & family this past weekend & I’m just so grateful to celebrate my birthday with the people I love.

This weekend we decided to visit my cousin’s in Dallas. It’s been a while since I jetted down there & every time I visit it’s always interesting.
This time we went to an Indian event & the Texas State fair.
We ate fried foods(yes, they were selling deep fried cactus at the fair), got on silly rides, got lost trying to find our car which lead us to the backstage area of the Livestock.
I admit, the best part was the Cowboy museum….
Getting lost was surreal. Seven city kids wandering around backstage(livestock) was like walking into the twilight zone. I witnessed things I thought I would only see in India but yet it was great because I love Farmers & definitely respect what they do.
But hey…I did see a giraffe.
Before we left my aunt made us banana cake & it was delicious. My aunt is one awesome cook. One of these days I will shadow her in the kitchen to get some pointers.
The best part of the trip was watching two authentic cowboys riding off into the sunset…
Just kidding, they were about to go on stage for a show and the guy on the left was watching a you-tube video. - T
